MEXICO — Funeral services for the Rev. John D. Hosie of Rumford were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, July 18 at the Mexico First Baptist Church, 20 Roxbury Road, Mexico, with the Rev. Tony Rea officiating. Music selections included “Standing on the Promises”, “All the Way My Savior Leads Me”, “I will Serve Thee”, and “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. Words of remembrance were given by his nephew, Tyler, and friends, Doug Armstrong, Ken Couch, George Leadbetter, Norman Robichaud, Marilla Couch, who also read the poem “The Dash”, John Romano of Camp Good News, Michele Huston, Tammy Libby, Chuck Welch, Pastor Garnett Chute from the Herman Baptist Church, and the Rev. Shepard Swain of the Peru Baptist Church. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Tony Rea. Interment was in the Demerritt Cemetery, Peru. A reception followed the services at the home of Belle and Edwin Child in Peru. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
