RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Thomas Joseph Taylor of Rumford at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques as celebrant. Altar Assistant was Mr. Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mr. Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “Fly Like a Bird,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” A reading from the letter of Paul to the Romans from the Old Testament was presented by his brother, James Taylor. A reading from the letter of Paul to the Romans from the New Testament was presented by his brother, Glenn Taylor. The Gifts were presented by his brothers, Richard and Marc Taylor. The eulogy was presented by his brother, John Taylor. Present was a delegation from St. Timothy Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Alfred Jacques. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Military Honors were conducted by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. A reception followed at the Parish Hall of St. Athanasius – St. John Church and served by the Daughters of Isabella.
