This is in response to Ronald Melendy’s letter (July 19). His closing sentence read, “How can any intelligent, logical, rational citizen even consider voting for such a poor excuse of a man” — meaning Donald Trump.
I can answer that one very easily.
First of all, Trump is running against a criminal, a renowned liar, a greedy, self-centered woman and someone with a horrendous track record as secretary of state and U.S. senator.
There will be millions of people who will vote for Trump on Election Day, but because Melendy disagrees with them, he infers that they are all unintelligent, illogical and irrational people.
News flash — I think that most of the likely Hillary Clinton voters are simply uninformed, or are people who would vote for a Democrat no matter who he (or she) was, including Trump if he were a Democrat.
Since Melendy is a bleeding heart liberal, it is no surprise that his letter centered on a few immigrant children who are worried that they will be deported. Never mind the deprived and hungry children right here in America who have been forgotten by Clinton and President Obama while they focus on recruiting future votes from the immigrants being let into this country at an alarming rate.
Forget about the people dying here in America at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists.
With all the extremely serious problems this country faces, both at home and abroad, is degrading Trump and his fellow Americans the best Melendy can do?
