I remember World War II and a small incident during a blackout — a neighbor lit up a smoke as he sat in his home during the air raid wardens’ night check. Security was tight and it was treated as a major item.

Now we have someone who wishes to be the next president. She went on television and said her emails had nothing to do with any secrets of government. As Secretary of State and a member of Congress, she should know better. The CIA said it was a mistake and then nothing was done to her.

How things have changed through the years.

Do I have a feeling of security that I had in World War II? No. Today it is a slap on the wrist and a trip to the White House.
