Promising newcomers: Junior — Tucker Smith (G/DT); Sophomore — Kayle Stewart (slot/CB); Freshman —  Trent Tibbetts (G/DT).

Season outlook: The Phoenix look to be competitive in a tough Class C South. Polky’s team is young and inexperienced, but Parker and Webster were key contributors last year, Pomeroy is a veteran lineman and Darling returns after spending a year away from football. Polky said his team has speed.
