LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating an accident on Moose Hill Road where a caller reported early Monday that a car was “all smashed up” on the side of the road and a utility pole was snapped off.
The driver had left the scene, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
The accident was reported at 12:43 a.m. and happened near the Central Maine Power substation.
The 2003 Subaru Impreza was towed from the scene to an impound lot. The registered owner of the car was contacted but didn’t know anything about the accident, Steward said.
Lt. Joseph Sage is investigating the matter.
