Evan Allen tallied for the Roadrunners (4-2-2) with 2:02 left in regulation. Brandon Baxter tallied for the Ramblers (1-6-1) on a penalty kick 36:22 into the first frame. 

Xavier Romanoski made seven saves for Mt. Abram, while Jackson Ladd turned aside nine shots between the posts for Winthrop. 

Telstar 7, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD — Avry Griffin scored a natural hat trick as he scored three goals in the first half to lead the Telstar Rebels to a 7-0 victory over the Dirigo Cougars in boys’ soccer action.

The Rebels (3-5) scored four times in the second half. Kellen True had two of those goals, while Willis Stevens scored on a a penalty kick and Zach Hill capped the scoring off.

Boston Ludden made five saves in the victory, while Justin Grignon made 18 saves in the losing effort for Dirigo (0-8).

Waynflete 3, St. Dom’s 0

AUBURN — Waynflete jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first frame and added one more after the break to record a 3-0 win over St. Dom’s in midseason boys’ soccer action Thursday. 

Ilyas Abdi led Waynflete (4-3-1) with a pair of goals, while Christian Brooks also tallied. 

Aaron Rhodes made six saves to preserve the shutout. Brandon Glover and Matt Curtis combined for six saves for the Saints (1-7). 

Wells 12, Poland 0

POLAND — Alex Pinette scored five goals Thursday to lead Wells to a 12-0 rout over Poland in boys’ soccer action.

Liam Bell chipped in for Wells with a hat trick. Ryan Norton and Trevor Villemaire also scored. 

Matt Thebarge and David Cloutier combined to record 19 saves for the Knights in a solid effort. 

Bangor 3, Mt. Blue 0

BANGOR — Junior Carson Atherly collected a pair of goals as Bangor grabbed a 3-0 victory over Mt. Blue in KVAC boys’ soccer action Thursday.

Sophomore left wing Chris Marshall attempted a header shot on goal towards the middle end of the second half for the Cougars, but failed to push the ball past the keeper.

Goalie Tucker Carleton made seven saves for Mt. Blue. George Payne prevented one to earn the win for the Rams.

Rangeley 4, A.R. Gould 2

SOUTH PORTLAND — Richard Thompson scored a pair of goals to lead Rangeley to a 4-2 victory over A.R. Gould in boys’ soccer action Thursday.

The Lakers scored two unanswered goals in the second half.

Lucas Rogers and Damian Walter accounted for the Panthers’ scoring.

Goalie Adam Black made 17 saves for A.R. Gould, while Hunter Lowell and Zac Trafton each turned back seven goals in the winning effort.

Cape Elizabeth 1, Gray-NG 0

GRAY — David Hare scored the lone goal with 8:29 remaining in regulation to lift Cape Elizabeth to a 1-0 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in WMC boys’ soccer action Thursday.

The Capers (6-2-1) finally found the back of the net when Hare collected up the ball on a scrum in front of the cage and redirected it past the goalie.

Goalie John Henry Villanueva made eight saves for the Patriots (5-3-1), while goalkeeper Sean Agrodnia rebuffed three to earn the win for Cape Elizabeth.

Mt. Blue 4, Edward Little 1

AUBURN — Four different players scored as Mt. Blue sailed to a 4-1 victory over Edward Little in field hockey action Thursday afternoon.

The Cougars (10-0-1) were powered by Sam Ellis, Molly Harmon, Madison Bard and Adelle Foss, who each scored one goal.

The Red Eddies (5-5-1) spoiled the shutout in the second half with a goal from Kaylie Vallee.

Goalies Delaney Morneau and Emmy Lashua combined for eight saves for Edward Little, while Erika McArther repelled three to earn the win for Mt. Blue.

Oxford Hills 2, Hampden 0

PARIS — Bailey Wood found the net on two occasions Thursday afternoon as Oxford Hills cruised to a 2-0 field hockey win over Hampden. 

Erin Morton and Alicia Albert also contributed for the Vikings with one assist each.

Anna Huff needed only six saves to notch the shutout, while Ruby Ramsey turned aside 14 shots for Hampden.  

Oak Hill 8, Hall-Dale 0

LITCHFIELD — The midfielders were flawless for the Raiders as Oak Hill blanked Hall-Dale 8-0 in MVC field hockey action Thursday afternoon.

The Raiders (10-1) scored four goals in each half. Zoe Buteau notched a goal and an assist, while midfielders Kiera Young and Mercedes Pease contributed an assist each.

Jill Whynot and Leah Allen took several shots for the Bulldogs (1-10).

Goalie Kaylee Mcgee made 40 saves for Hall-Dale, while Mackenzie Thibeault and Hayley Salger combined for three saves in the winning effort.

LEWISTON — Cari Hopkins notched a hat trick as Cony cruised to a 7-0 victory over Lewiston in field hockey action Thursday afternoon.

The Rams (7-2-2) led 5-0 at the half. Delaney Keithley scored both of her goals on penalty strokes.

Goalie Ashley Cronkhite made 40 saves for the Blue Devils (1-10), while goalkeeper Jocoleline Carther turned away two to earn the win for Cony.

SKOWHEGAN  — Edward Little put up a goal in each half Thursday, just enough to earn them a tidy 2-0 victory over Skowhegan in a KVAC girls’ soccer tilt. 

Lauren Murray scored in the first frame on a free kick, while Piper Norcross converted a pass from Ally Mackenzie in the second frame. 

Taylor Depot made seven saves to notch the shutout, while Amber Merry deflected 11 shots for the Indians. 

Oxford Hills 6, Cony 1

PARIS — Ceceila Dietrich and Julia Colby netted two goals each Thursday as Oxford Hills overpowered Cony 6-1 in a girls’ soccer matchup.

Derry Bessette and Abby Spinhirn also tallied for the Vikings (1-8). Talia Jorgenson scored for the Rams (1-7-1) with 14:48 remaining in the second half.

NORTH ANSON — Emily Grandahl netted a pair of goals Thursday to propel Monmouth to its 10th straight win in a 3-0 tilt over Carrabec. 

Audrey Fletcher also tallied for the Mustangs (10-0) and added an assist. 

Katie Harris made seven saves to notch the shutout, while Kelsea Creamer deflected an impressive 23 shots for the Cobras.

LEWISTON — Kristina Kelly scored a goal in each half to lead Camden Hills to a tidy 3-0 win over Lewiston in more KVAC girls’ soccer action Thursday. 

Bryn Anderson also tallied for Camden Hills (8-1-0) in the second half. 

Isabelle Long made five saves for Camden to notch the shutout, while Taylor Chamberlain (seven) and Kallie May (three) combined to deflect 10 shots for Lewiston. 

Oak Hill 2, Wiscasset 0

WALES — Rylea-Mae Swan and Halee Lair scored one goal each as Oak Hill took a 2-0 victory over Wiscasset in girls’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.

The Raiders (7-2-1) put up a score in each half. Lindsey Weeks had an assist for Oak Hill.

Goalie Lindsey Gordon made four saves for the Wolverines (3-6-1), while goalie Anna Dodge stopped two to earn the win in net for Oak Hill.

Poland 3, Wells 2

WELLS — Katriana Pratt nailed down three goals to lead Poland to a 3-2 victory over Wells in WMC girls’ soccer action Thursday.

The Knights (3-6) led 1-0 at the half.

The Warriors (0-8) tied the game early in the second half behind a goal from sophomore midfielder Hannah Cottis.

But Pratt went on a two-goal run to provide Poland with some cushion in the late-going.

Goalie Lauren Bartlett made eight saves for Wells, while Madison Simard turned away 12 to earn the win in net for Poland.

Waynflete 3, St. Dom’s 0

PORTLAND — Forward Clara Sandberg scored the first of the Flyers’ three goals in a 3-0 triumph over St. Dom’s in girls’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.

The Flyers (4-2-1) scored all three goals in the second half.

Madison Samson put pressure on the the opposing goalie for the Saints (1-9) but was unable to capitalize with any scoring.

Goalie Abby Castonguay had two saves for St. Dom’s, while Alli Pope fended off four to earn the win for Waynflete.

Cape Elizabeth 3, Gray-NG 2

CAPE ELIZABETH — Presli Piscopo scored a pair of goals to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 3-2 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in girls’ soccer action Thursday afternoon.

The Capers (5-4) scored two goals in the second half. Karli Cahpin rounded out the scoring for Cape Elizabeth.

Bri Jordan and Jaley Martin scored goals for the Patriots (5-4), one in each half.

Goalie Chelsea Davis made nine saves for Gray-New Gloucester, while Grace Roberts spurned two to earn the win for Cape Elizabeth.
