I write this as a warning to Maine lobstermen. They should be wary of any involvement by Sen. Angus King in the Sweden, European Union fight over importing Maine lobsters.

I remind folks of how fast he disregarded the people of the North Woods who opposed Roxanne Quimby’s gift that became a national monument. One week, King was against it; the next week, he was for it.

After that, it seemed to happen overnight. Quimby’s gift was approved and who cares about the ordinary, hard-working Maine people? Certainly not Sen. King.

If Sen. King is involved in the lobster issue, he will probably start importing Swedish lobster to Maine.
