PORTLAND — The wedding of Mary Gay Metevier and Carl Anthony Brousseau was held on June 4 at St. Peter’s Parish in Portland. The Rev. Michael Seavey officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Brousseau is the daughter of Paul and Gay (Peterson) Metevier of North Yarmouth. Mr. Brousseau is the son of Antonio and the late Jeanne Brousseau of Auburn.

The bride wore a strapless ivory lace gown over satin with beaded bodice, corset back and train. She carried a bouquet of peonies and Gerber daisies.

Lauren Leavitt, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nichole Brown, friend of the bride, Lauren Shumeyko and Molly Paul, sisters of the bride, and Jen Cope Metevier, sister-in-law of the bride. Beverly Peterson, grandmother of the bride, was flower girl and Corah Metevier, niece of the bride, was junior flower girl.

Glen Davis, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Joseph Fessenden, Jay Snyder, Patrick Amoroso, friends of the bridegroom, and Seth Metevier, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Demetrius Phillips-Brown, son of bridesmaid Nichole Brown, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, after which the couple traveled to Sturgis, South Dakota. They are residing in Standish.

The bride is a graduate of Cheverus High School and the University of Southern Maine. She is compliance director for USA Wine West, importer and distributor, in Portland.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lewiston High School and is owner and founder of Select Auto.
