ANSWER: “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto” is a newer book by author Mitch Albom, so it is available at most book stores and online at sites like Amazon. It is also available at many local public libraries. Both the Auburn Public Library and the Gray Public Library, for instance, have the title available in their fiction and audiobook sections. You can also find it at the Lewiston Public Library as an E-book.
As for assistance fixing your marimba, Sun Spots is hoping a reader might respond with some insight about someone in the area who might have such a talent.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Roak Block Housing in Auburn is having a great craft fair on Oct. 8. This is a first for us and we want to get people interested enough to come. It is on a Saturday and therefore it is free parking in the parking lot across the street. We will start at 8 a.m. with breakfast sandwiches for sale and will keep the fair going till 3 p.m. We will also offer lunch and lots of desserts. There will be 15 tables of wonderful items for sale, including beautiful antique casserole dishes and bowls, wonderful handmade jewelry, lots of Christmas decorations and other items, many of which are homemade. Please come and help us make our first attempt successful. We are located beside the Festival Plaza at 156 Main St. It will say Roak Block above the front door. The Coat Room offers a free coat for everyone and there’s no application necessary. Each person will receive one coat, hat, gloves and pair of ski pants (based on availability). Please bring family members with you. The Coat Room is a program sponsored by RightStart and is located in the Oxford Plaza Mall between Ocean State Job Lots and The Label Shopper in Oxford. Beginning Sept. 28, The Coat Room will be open Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. This program is reliant on the generous donations from community members.
