There has been a lot of talk about keeping jobs here. Jim Handy has been thinking about local jobs for a long time and all the time.
While serving on three building committees for new elementary schools in Lewiston, Handy took the lead in pushing for energy efficiency, safe and healthy buildings and productive educational settings.
One of the things that impresses me the most about him is his focus on making sure that, when selecting building materials, local products be used whenever possible. That is why you will see bricks from Morin Brick. That keeps jobs here.
Jim Handy can see the big-picture, and he understands the ramifications of the choices made. He is the kind of representative Lewiston needs in the Maine House.
