He will also run the Ticket Galaxy 200 at Phoenix International Speedway the following Saturday, Nov. 12.

Theriault has run four previous Xfinity Series races, including three with JR Motorsports (Dale Earnhardt Jr.) in 2014. He posted finishes of 15th (Iowa Speedway), 21st (New Hampshire Motor Speedway) and 18th (Kentucky Speedway).

In September, he landed a last-minute Xfinity Series deal with Obaika Racing and wound up 37th among 40 cars at Richmond International Raceway because his car overheated. He completed just 84 of 250 laps.

Theriault drove in the K and N Pro Series East circuit this season and posted six top-five finishes and seven top-10s while running in 11 of 14 races.

Theriault had climbed to third in the points standings with five top-fives in a six-race span, but Hattori Racing Enterprises surprisingly dropped him with three races remaining.

Theriault called it a “business decision” at the time.

The 22-year-old former Fort Kent High School wrestler ran nine races last season in the Camping World Truck Series for Brad Keselowski Racing and posted four top-10s and two top-five finishes. He was supposed to run 13 races but an accident at Las Vegas Motor Speedway sidelined him for four races with a compression fracture in his lower back.

He finished fifth in the WinStar World Casino 400 Truck series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

In a press release, Theriault said he was “thrilled to be back behind the wheel of an Xfinity car.

“Driving the No. 25 Chevrolet for Rick Ware, the Cockrum family and Advanced Communications Group will be great … and to have the opportunity to run in two Xfinity Series races this late in the season with an experienced crew chief like Jeff Spraker is awesome.

“I’ve had a top-five finish at Texas in the trucks but haven’t been there in an Xfinity car. Racing in Phoenix the following week will make these late-season races something for me to build upon for next year,” Theriault said.

Spraker has been a crew chief for 24 Xfinity Series races between 2005-16, 16 Truck races, 36 K and N Pro Series East features and one Sprint Cup event.
