Free dental care today
LISBON — Twenty dentists, 16 specialists, 23 dental hygienists and dozens of staff members will volunteer their time Friday, Nov. 4, to provide teeth cleanings, fillings and extractions to people who cannot afford regular dental care and do not have any dental coverage.
The program, Dentists Who Care for ME, offers one oral care service or a referral to a specialist if needed.
Two Rivers Family Dental will participate from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4 Bisbee St.
People wishing to receive treatment are encouraged to arrive early at the participating dental offices to secure an appointment, as slots fill very quickly. Appointments will not be taken prior to Nov. 4 and appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Vouchers for free services by dental specialists are distributed by the referring dentist to patients who need more comprehensive procedures.
Veterans Day Pass in Review
LEWISTON — The Veterans Day Pass in Review for all organizations and Color Guards will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Lewiston Armory.
The Edward Little High School and Lewiston Middle School will provide music.
Refreshments will be available, and the public is welcome.
Minot Historical Society honoring veterans
MINOT — Minot Historical Society invites the veterans and servicemen of the area to the recognition of the armed forces at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Minot Town Office.
The meeting will be held by the memorial, weather permitting.
Support group for the blind
AUBURN — A support group for the blind and visually impaired will meet the first Saturday of the month at noon in George’s Pizza in Auburn.
Due to a conflict in scheduling, the first meeting will be held Saturday, Nov. 12.
