WEST PARIS — The Harold Perham Field has been seeded and all vendors paid, Town Manager Wade Rainey said Thursday night.

“It’s completely seeded and done,” he said.

Poland Corp. of West Paris recently finished filling and coating the field, he said.

The work caps a yearlong effort by the West Paris Athletic Association to restore the field for use again. It’s one of three ball fields at the Mann Complex on Ballfield Road.

Harold Perham Field was constructed in the mid-20th century and has been out of commission for several years.

In 2015, the Athletic Association took steps toward restoring it, securing about $4,900 in donations of cash and materials, association Chairman Andrew Merrill said. Voters approved raising $13,000 for the work.
