The Jr. Senators, who have the second-most goals in the NA3HL with 135, scored four times in the final 20 minutes to post a 5-1 victory over the Fighting Spirit on Veterans Night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee

Ryan Reifler broke the 1-1 deadlock when he potted his 11th goal of the season at the 11:19 mark of the third period. Assists on the power play goal went to Dominik Bogdziul and Jeremy Wilber.

Bogdziul stretched the lead to 3-1 just a little over two minutes later with Wilber getting the assist. Bogdziul potted his 19th goal of the year, as well, with 2:29 remaining in the game. Reifler and Conor Landrigan had the helpers.

Landrigan capped the scoring with his second of the game with 1:58 to play. It was his 23rd goal of the year.

The Senators jumped on the board first when Landrigan found the back of the net with 3:22 remaining in the opening period.

The Fighting Spirit struck on the man advantage as Cole Skelly of Binghamton went off with a five minute major for checking from behind. Matt Siegel scored his fifth of the season with 1:04 remaining in the first. Walker Hamilton was the lone player to record an assist, his 15th of the season.

In the second period, the game got physical. At the 5:38 mark, Fighting Spirit goaltender Daniel Potter dropped the gloves with Brad Becker. Both received five minutes for fighting, Potter was given the instigator tag, and both players also received game misconducts.

Potter made 11 saves on 12 chances. Michael Errico made 15 saves in relief. Binghamton goalie Salvatore Lauretta made 22 saves in the victory.

The Fighting Spirit had four power plays in the middle frame and couldn’t convert on their chances. They were 1-for-7 on the man advantage for the game, while the Senators were 2-for-8.
