WINDHAM — The State Fire Marshal’s Office says one woman has died after fire swept through her home Friday morning.

Firefighters are still at the scene at the fire on Pettingill Road off of Route 302.

The fire was reported about 4 a.m., and the one story home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

A team of fire marshal investigators has arrived at the fire scene and will begin the task of removing the body and attempting to determine how the fire started.
