RUMFORD — Matthew and Pamela Kaubris of Rumford are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Alexa R. Kaubris of Newburyport, Massachusetts, to Joseph M. Balbo of Newburyport, Massachusetts, son of Joseph Balbo Sr. of Rockport, Massachusetts.

Miss Kaubris is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick and is employed as an environmental health and safety specialist for Lonza in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Mr. Balbo is a graduate of Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania, and is senior operations specialist for Triumvirate Environmental of Somerville, Massachusetts.

A June 10, 2017 wedding is planned.
