AUBURN — The West Auburn Congregational Church will hold its annual Christmas Pageant at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.
The live Nativity will be made up of a multi-generational group of members of the Church. The congregation will join in the singing of traditional Christmas carols. In addition, special music will be provided by Scott Williams and Roberta Hill, Jeanine Loubier, Terry Swett and Dianne Maddix. The event will be led by the Rev. John Williams. Following the pageant, a “birthday party for Jesus” will be held in the Church vestry. Everyone is welcome to attend.
In lieu of a regular church service on Sunday, Dec. 25, an afternoon gathering will be held at the Church at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24, with John Williams officiating. This service is also open to all.

WATERFORD — Waterford Congregational Church holiday worship services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.
The Christmas Eve candlelight service be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, and will feature a live manger scene with music at the conclusion.
There will be no Sunday worship service on Christmas day, Dec. 25.
On New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2017, Sunday worship will begin at 10:30 a.m.

PHILLIPS — Phillips Community Church will hold Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. The Rev. Susan A. Tierney will conduct these services.
There will be no church services Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. Services will resume at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, with a program on Honduras.

A Christmas Eve Candlelight and Carol Service will be held at 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. Everyone is invited to come and help celebrate the gift of Jesus Christ, the gift that is the very heart of the holiday.
Christmas Day worship will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25. Rev. Izzie Radford-Nash proclaims, “Christmas is the feast of the child, a celebration of the child in the manger and the child in each of us.” All are invited to join in this celebration of the birth of Christ.

LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church will hold Christmas Eve service led by the Rev. Annie Baker-Streevy. It will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at 59 Sabattus St.
The Neighborhood Welcome breakfast will be served Christmas morning at 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25. Those attending should enter through the garden entrance at the rear of the church. An elevator is available for access to the sanctuary.
The Christmas service at 10:30 a.m. will be a shorter than usual service with a lot of singing. Everyone is invited to celebrate the birth of Jesus in song.
Calvary is a reconciling church where all are invited to seek, serve, and celebrate God along with old and new friends.

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Wilton will offer its annual Christmas Eve Service at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at 59 High St.
The Rev. Barbara J. Clarke will lead this full Eucharist, candlelight service which includes traditional carols and a chancel drama, “The Innkeeper’s Lament” by local performance artist Michael Cooper. A chancel drama is a short play written for worship services and staged on the elevated platform at the front of the church’s sanctuary.

FARMINGTON — Henderson Memorial Baptist Church will celebrate Christmas with two services on Dec. 24 and 25. All are welcome.
A shared Christmas Eve service with Summit Faith Church will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, in the sanctuary at 110 Academy St.
Readings and carols will culminate in the lighting of the Christ candle to proclaim the birth of Jesus. The congregation will join the choir in singing “Silent Night” as the light of Christ is shared from candle to candle throughout the congregation. Musicians from both churches will close the service with a triumphant version of “Joy to the World.”
In remembrance of the couple who could find no room at the inn that first Christmas Eve, an offering will be received during the service to benefit the Western Maine Homeless Outreach Shelter in our own community.
Henderson Memorial Baptist Church will hold a Christmas morning service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25.
A Christmas fellowship time with coffee and coffee cakes will be held before the service. The informal service will include the reading of the Christmas story from the gospel of Luke, the telling of two modern Christmas stories, and the opportunity to choose favorite Christmas carols for everyone to sing.

PARIS — The Rev. Don Mayberry of First Congregational Church has announced the church’s Christmas services.
The church will host two Christmas Eve candlelight services that will feature carols. They will be held at 4 p.m. and at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24.
On Christmas day, the church will hold worship at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25.
