First Saturday at the Williams House 

WAYNE — The next First Saturday at the Williams House will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 7, at 14 Old Winthrop Road. 

The community can stop in for refreshments and browse the books and boutique. There will be 50 percent off holiday-themed gifts and decorations. 

All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.

Volunteer companions wanted 

LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women is seeking volunteer applicants for companions.

Companions should be women with professional backgrounds in social work, teaching, nursing, chaplaincy or other related fields.

The commitment is a half-day weekly.
