MINOT — Raymond and Judy Roy of Minot are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Sara Rae Roy of Minot, to Jonathan Michael Darling of Minot, son of Michael Darling of Gorham and Kimberly Darling of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Miss Roy is a 2015 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and in March plans to graduate from Kaplan University from the medical assistant program. She is employed at Central Maine Medical Center at a certified nurses aide on T-1.
Mr. Darling is a 2010 graduate of St. James High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He joined the 218th infantry regimen of the South Carolina National Guard as a specialist in 2010 and was enlisted until 2016. He also served nine months in Kuwait. He is employed at Spring Harbor psychiatric hospital in Westbrook and is currently pursuing his psychiatric degree at Kaplan University.
The wedding will be held on June 3 at the Poland Spring Resort.
