Several towns in the Oxford Hills area are included in the Maine Department of Transportation’s latest three-year work plan, with projects ranging from road paving to bridge replacement.

Sen. James Hamper, R-Oxford, said the estimated value of work in the plan, which looks at projects scheduled for 2017, 2018 and 2019, “totals more than $2.3 billion and encompasses 2,411 projects across the state.

Hamper added that the projects listed for 2017 “are more firmly funded and have definite schedules, while listings for 2018 and 2019 are more subject to change based on funding and prices, permitting variables and seasonal weather conditions.”

It’s encouraging to see the large number of projects the Department of Transportation has on the docket for Oxford and Cumberland counties over the next three years,” Hamper said. “Maintaining high-quality roads and infrastructure is a critical component to attract new employers to the area.”

Among the projects scheduled for 2017 in the Oxford Hills region are:

• Replacement of Billings Bridge over Little Androscoggin River in Paris;
