AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will host its annual indoor farmers market from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24, at 49 Spring St.
This family-friendly event will include vendors with a culinary delight of homegrown vegetables and homemade foods and treats, plus live music, crafts, animals and exhibits.
Vendors will offer homemade jams and chutneys, canned vegetables, root vegetables and some wonderfully delicious baked goods. Handmade scarfs, hats, mittens, natural skin care products and other items will also be available.
The event will also feature live acoustic music by Aaron Wardwell and homestead demonstrations such as basket-weaving and embroidery. Maine Fiber Arts will also have an interactive display.
In the children’s department, participants can discover how Mother Nature moves seeds, allowing new plants to grow. Children can come to the room from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to make their own whirligig and learn how wind is critical to the planting of seeds. They may also go to the Grand Reading Room to pet live animals.
The Auburn Public Library’s Farmers Market is free to the public.
