NORWAY — The Norway Arts Festival has received a $2,500 grant from the Maine Community Foundation to support its 2017 event.
“This grant will help the Norway Arts Festival return to its multi-day format and bring new events and demonstrations,” said Judy West Schneider, beginning her second year as the Festival’s director.
On July 8, Main Street will be closed to traffic to create a pedestrian mall for artist booths, performances, plein air painting demonstrations, and free artist workshops. This year’s festival will honor Duncan Slade and will include events centered on his life and his art.
This is the 15th year of the Festival, which is is sponsored by the Western Maine Art Group and Norway Downtown.
Applications for exhibitors will soon be available online. The entry fee for returning exhibitors remains at $65.
