OTISFIELD — The Board of Selectmen will address a rising electricity bill for the Otisfield Community Hall during its meeting Wednesday, March 1.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Town Office on Route 121.
Chairman Hal Ferguson said at a previous meeting that the board opted to leave the hall on Route 121 heated year-round.
“We left some electric space heaters in the bathroom, but in looking at the electrical portion of the heating bill, we noticed that those space heaters are eating up an inordinate amount of electricity,” Ferguson said. “We’re going to take another look at the heating and see if there’s a way to knock down that bill.”
Other items on the agenda include:
• Discussing the Time Warner Cable Northeast LLC Franchise agreement;
• Signing a Maine Department of Transportation tarring project agreement; and
• Signing a Community Concepts letter.
