Two people were hurt Wednesday morning when an SUV driven by Nicklous Ayer, 27, of Livermore Falls attempted to turn left from Water Street on to Route 4 in Livermore Falls and the plow on the front of his vehicle collided with the front driver’s side of a pickup truck heading south on Route 4 that was driven by David Rocheleau, 60, of Sanford, Livermore Falls officer Vernon Stevens said. Rocheleau complained of neck and back pain and was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, he said. Rocheleau’s passenger Mary Norton, 54, of Livermore Falls also complained of back pain but refused treatment. Stevens said she called an ambulance after he had given her a ride home. Livermore Falls Fire Department provided traffic control with the road briefly reduced to one lane on the bridge over the Androscoggin River. Disabling damage was done to the truck, including the front tire being ripped right back toward the back of truck, Stevens said. There was no damage to Ayer’s SUV or plow. Stevens issued him a summons for not having an inspection sticker.
