WILTON — A family business offering auto care and enhancements is planning to open in the former location of The Printing Warehouse.

Joseph “Joe” Kinsey bought the building at 371 U.S. Route 2 east from his parents, Joey and Quinnale Kinsey.

The name of the new business has yet to determined, but Kinsey intends to open by the beginning of April.

Vehicle detailing will be done, along with installation of vehicle enhancements such as rain guards, bug deflectors, running boards and light bulbs, Kinsey said.

An overhead door will be installed for entrance to his work space, he said. A small office is planned for the front.

Kinsey, who has spent most of his life in Wilton, has done collision repair work over the past five years.

Now he wants to work for himself, he said.

With five children, he expects his family will help and he does not foresee hiring other employees.

Kinsey needs the Wilton Planning Board to approve a change of use for the site.

Kinsey’s parents owned and operated the printing business for 21 years before closing last July. The Shoppe, an antique and collectible store, has remained in the leased portion of the building.
