PORTLAND — An Auburn man was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court for possessing cocaine with the intent to distributing it, according to attorney Richard W. Murphy.
Derrick Favreau, 33, was sentenced to 63 months in prison and three years of supervised release, and was fined $5,000.
Favreau pleaded guilty July 26, 2016.
Law enforcement officers seized cocaine from a hidden compartment in Favreau’s vehicle in May 2014, according to court records. A total of $29,000 was seized during the investigation.
This case was investigated by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Maine State Police, the Lewiston and Auburn police departments and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
