LEWISTON — The Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries will host the sixth annual Teen Opportunities Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall.
The event will feature exhibits and displays from a number of local businesses and agencies that work with local teenagers or provide services or volunteer opportunities for them.
The Fair will feature area organizations supporting local young adults in one or more of the following pursuits: volunteering, internships, continuing education and life skills. The event is free and open to all area teens.
Participants will be able to talk with employers, find out what they are looking for in new hires, internships and volunteer experiences. Other agencies will be providing details on the services and opportunities that they provide. In addition, the Fair will feature door prizes and free food.
The showcase of local organizations exhibiting at the Teen Opportunities Fair includes: 21st Century Lewiston Afterschool Program; Auburn Police Activities League; SAPARS; Girl Scouts of Maine; the Career Center; Lots to Gardens; Tree Street Youth; Community Credit Union; College for ME; representatives from area colleges, and more!
