EUSTIS — A Massachusetts woman was injured Saturday when her snowmobile struck trees on a twisting section of an Interconnected Trail System route, Cpl. John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service said.
Lisa Handrahan, 50, of Chatham, Massachusetts, was traveling with three others on ITS 89 between Tea Pond Lodge & Cabins and Pines Market, he said Monday.
She was driving an 800cc Polaris snowmobile. The accident was reported at 11:04 a.m., about 1 mile from Tim Pond Road.
Game Warden Patrick Egan responded, as well as the Eustis Fire and Rescue Department and NorthStar EMS ambulance.
Handrahan was taken by ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington with a possible broken leg, MacDonald said.
