April Fool’s Fun Ski Race
PARIS — A Senior Project Fundraiser Race is set for this Saturday, April 1, at Mt. Abram in Greenwood, beginning at 9 a.m.
Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School seniors McKinley Murphy and Ryland VanDecker have planned the event for their senior project. All proceeds will go to the OHCHS Alpine Team.
Skiers, families, friends, alumni and even future skiers are asked to join the senior for some April Fools Skiing. All ages and abilities are welcome.
To reserve a spot, those interested in participating should email the students by Friday, March 31.

AgrAbility webinar on universal design
FARMINGTON — Maine AgrAbility will host a free webinar on universal design, a method of designing tools, buildings, and environments, to be usable by all people to the greatest extent possible, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 27.
“Universal Design: Design for ease of use in the home, shop and barn” will focus on the principles of universal design, perceptions of disability, and practical applications that can help to maintain and increase independence. Presenters include occupational therapist Ketra Crosson, architect Jill Johanning, who is with Alpha One, and Maine AgrAbility staff member Ellen Gibson.

VFW seeks vendors for yard sale
PARIS — The VFW is seeking vendors for its yard sale, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13.
Table space will cost $10. If weather permits, vendors may set up outside.
The lunch counter will be open.

Jones Dance Band to perform
BUCKFIELD — Jones Dance Band will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturdays, April 1, 8, 15,22 and 29, at the Masonic Hall at 5 High St.
Admission is $5 per adult. The lunch counter will be open.
Story hour at New Sharon library
NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will hold a story hour from 10:30 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, April 6 and 20.
There will be stories, crafts and snacks.

‘Let Worms Eat Your Garbage!’
PARIS — Gardeners Growing Healthy Communities will host a dinner and talk by Jack Robie, founder of Mainely Worm Bins.
The talk will be “Let Worms Eat Your Garbage!” Composting in winter can be done. Robie will explain setting up a successful worm bin.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St.
Those attending will have the chance to win a free worm bin to take home.
The cost to attend is $10. Pre-registration is required.
