Taillights streak past Lewiston police officer Garrett Clark as he waves them past skid marks left by a truck, background, that slammed into a light post on Canal Street in Lewiston on Friday night. Police said a woman lost control of the truck as she pulled from Cedar onto Canal Street shortly after 7 p.m. No one was seriously injured. Fire crews inspected the damaged pole. Police were continuing to investigate the wreck later Thursday night.
