Rumford Area Quilters to meet 

RUMFORD — Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street.

Items will be collected for the quilt show scheduled April 24 for the residents at the Pinnacle Health and Rehab Home in Canton.

All area quilters welcome.

French Falls bird walk

JAY — The Western Maine Audubon Chapter will lead a bird walk at the French Falls Recreation Area.

The walk will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the area’s kiosk at the end of French Falls Lane across from the Spruce Mountain Middle School.

Birders should bring binoculars and bird guides if they have them. Walks are held rain or shine, so those attending should dress accordingly.

All birders are welcome.

Easter egg hunt at Crystal Lake

HARRISON — Harrison Recreation has been told by the Easter Bunny that he will hide eggs at Crystal Lake Park. Kids can bring baskets and hunt for eggs at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 15.

Legion to resume bingo

KINGFIELD — American Legion Norton-Wuori Post 61 will resume bingo on Saturday, April 15. Doors open by 5:30 p.m., and games begin at 6:30 p.m.

Greater Lovell Indivisible to meet

LOVELL — The new municipal party drawing from Lovell, Sweden, Stow, Fryeburg and Brownfield has given itself a name: Greater Lovell Indivisible.

The group will meet for its third meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15.

Meetings are scheduled for the third Saturday of the month at 2 p.m.

Texas Hold’em poker April 15

LOCKE MILLS — American Legion Jackson-Silver Post 68 will host a Texas Hold’em poker tournament Saturday, April 15, at 595 Gore Road.

The doors will open at 11 a.m., and games will begin at 1 p.m. There will be pull tabs, a 50/50 and refreshments. Those attending may bring their own beverage.

Easter egg hunt in Sumner

SUMNER — The Mother’s Community Club will sponsor an Easter egg hunt for children 12 and younger at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the East Sumner Congregational Church on Main Street, Route 219. 

The hunt will begin at 10 a.m. with four age groups, the youngest going first.

Those attending should dress for the weather and bring a basket.
