At about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in Bowdoinham, a plane landed on Interstate 2915 and hit a guardrail in the breakdown lane
A small plane made an emergency landing Tuesday morning in the southbound lane of Interstate 295.
At about 10:15 a.m. in Bowdoinham, the plane landed on the highway and hit a guardrail in the breakdown lane, according to a statement from Maine Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The pilot walked away from the plane, McCausland wrote.
State Police say southbound traffic has not been disrupted, although the road may be reduced to one lane later when decisions are made on removing the plane from the highway.
