RUMFORD — Marilyn A. “Susie” Fournier, 82, of Mexico passed away on Sunday, April 16, at Rumford Community Home following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Rumford on April 25, 1934, a daughter of Wilfred and Ida (Lemay) Richard.

Susie was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1952.

Susie married Roger Fournier on Sept. 29, 1956; together they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

She was employed with Rexall Drug, Terminal Lunch and later at Freddie’s Lunch.

Susie loved bowling, going to the casino, baking and visiting with her friends at McDonald’s.

Surviving are her husband, Roger Fournier of Mexico; two children, Tina M. Callahan and husband, Tom, of Biddeford, and Peter R. Fournier and wife, Kim, of Portland; a sister, Irene Gallant and husband, Ivon, of Rumford; a brother, Don Richard and wife, Joyce, of New Sharon; and five grandchildren, Sean Callahan, Scott Callahan, Michael Fournier, Tessa Fournier and Sam Fournier.

She was predeceased by her parents; five brothers, Omer, Alfred, Maurice, Eddie and Leonard Richard; and two sisters, Blondie McKenna and Belle Nadeau.
