STEWART, Fla. — Normand R. Couture, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stewart, Fla.
He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 26, 1932, the son of the late Anatole and Georgianna (Martin) Couture. Normand was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War.
After his service, he worked for the Local 783 Pipefitters Union for over 35 years. Normand married the love of his life, Aline Morrill, and they shared a loving marriage of many years until her passing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VA.
Normand loved to spend time with his family having cookouts at his camp on Sabattus Lake. He was always seen working and building things. He had an interest in old cars and enjoyed working on them and rebuilding them.
Normand is survived by his son, James Couture; his partner of three years, Dianne Pike; his brother, Robert and his wife, Fern Couture; his five grandchildren, Ryan, Joey, Andrea, Kayla and Daniel; his three great-grandchildren, Brendan, Reese and Carly; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; his son, Michael Couture; and his daughter, Carolann Williams.
