Tristan Chiant scored on a fielder’s choice to round out the Lakers’ final tally. Luke Nadeau scattered three hits in seven innings of work while earning the mound win.
Zach Mann went the distance for Gray-New Gloucester (3-3) and suffered the loss.

SALEM — Junior shortstop Luke Lueders compiled four hits and four RBIs to lead Dirigo to a 22-5 victory over Mt. Abram in baseball action Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars (2-3) rallied for six runs in the first inning and eight runs in the fifth inning. Senior catcher Bryce Whittemore had three hits and two RBIs for Dirigo.
The Roadrunners (0-4) produced a little offensive prowess when junior second baseman Bryce Werzanski cracked a two-run single in a three-run fourth inning, the only inning Mt. Abram outscored Dirigo.
Kennebunk 4, Poland 0
KENNEBUNK — Left fielder Matt Smith singled in the first run — and game-winner — in the first inning as Kennebunk secured a 4-0 victory over Poland in baseball action Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman Brady Downing struck out seven batters and allowed just four hits to earn the complete game win for the Rams (2-5). Dean Smith collected an RBI singled in the fifth ining for Kennebunk.
After a rough first inning, pitcher Justin Wiggins settled down to strike out six batters and give up just four hits for the Knights (2-5) in the tough luck loss.
St. Dom’s 6, Fryeburg 3
AUBURN — The pitching battery combined for an RBI each in the first inning as St. Dom’s sailed to a 6-3 victory over Fryeburg in baseball action Wednesday afternoon.
In addition to Justin Keaney and Michael Cilley’s RBIs in the first inning, Bobby Shelley stroked a two-run single in the second to put the Saints (2-2) up 4-2 at the time.
Shortstop Michael Pictrantonio had an RBI single in the seventh inning to cut the deficit to three for the Raiders (1-5) in the losing effort.
Oceanside 10, Leavitt 1
TURNER — Titus Kaewthong inititated an eight-run rally with a three-run single after two outs in the final frame as Oceanside dispatched Leavitt 10-1 in baseball action Wedensday afternoon.
The Mariners (4-1) scored two in the first inning on RBI singles from Jack Wadsworth and Michael Norton, Jr.
Coby Dorr and Hunter Davis also drove in a pair for Oceanside.
Tim Abbott drove in Ian Godfrey in the fifth inning for the Hornets (2-1) in the losing effort.
Monmouth 14, Lisbon 11
LISBON — Hunter Richardson had himself a sixth inning to help Monmouth to a 14-11 victory over Lisbon on Wednesday.
Richardson hit a grand slam and had a double in the inning as the Mustangs put eight runs in the top of the sixth to take a 12-10 lead.
Trevor Fanagan went 3-for-3 in the game for Monmouth, including a double. Gabe Martin also had three hits, while Kane Gould had two.
The Mustangs added two more runs in the seventh inning.
Tyler Halls led Lisbon with three hits, including a double. Sean Scott and Noah Francis each had a pair of hits, with Francis recording a double.
Lisbon led 10-4 lead going into the sixth after scoring five in the first, two in the fourth and three in the fifth. The Greyhounds added another run in the bottom of the sixth.
Boys’ lacrosse
Edward Little 23, Oxford Hills 0
AUBURN — Ganan Mancini netted eight goals and aded three assists to lead Edward Little to a 23-0 rout over Oxford Hills in a boys’ lacrosse tilt Wednesday.
Spencer Frahn and Eli McBride chipped in for the Red Eddies (3-2) with three goals each, while Tyler Morin, Dawson Tracy and Ben Feldman each scored twice. Single tallies by Logan Alexander, Noah Sterling and Storm Jipson completed the scoring.
Brandon Asselin made saves to notch the shutout, while Nate Plourde turned aside 13 shots between the posts for Oxford Hills (0-5).
Softball
Oak Hill 6, Carrabec 4
CARRABEC — Sadie Waterman struck out nine Carrabec batters in Oak Hill’s 6-4 victory in an MVC contest.
With the bases loaded in the top of the second she helped her own cause as she drove in one. Charlette Waterman came up to bat after Saide and struck a single of her own to drive in two runs.
Both finished with two hits. Abby Nadeau and Kiera Young each had lead off doubles for the Radiers (2-0). Oak Hill scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
Hailey Dumphy had a solo shot in the first inning to give the Cobras (1-3) an early 1-0 lead. She had a single later in the game. Lexie Cowan had a double that scored two of Carrabec’s runs in the seventh.
Hall-Dale 5, Mountain Valley 2
FARMINGDALE — Jill Whynot belted a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning and Hall-Dale tacked on another run in the inning, plating all the runs it would need in a 5-2 win over visiting Mountain Valley on Wednesday.
Whynot’s slam came with runners on base courtsey a walk, a single and a hit batter. Other than that one inning, Mountain Valley pitcher Emily Laubauskas was on point in this contset, hurling a three-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Grace Briggs led the offense for the Falcons with a pair of hits, including a double.

TURNER — Senior Lavan Hatch pounded out a pair of singles to lead Oceanside to an 8-1 victory over Leavitt in softball action Wednesday afternoon.
Designated hitter Morgan Heal doubled in the third inning and scored on a sacrifice for the Mariners. Heal plated two runs in the sixth inning with a timely single.
Designated hitter Bailey Derocher doubled in the first inning and scored on an RBI single from Kassie Murch for the lone Hornet run.
