Town Warrant
What happened: Selectmen accepted the annual town meeting warrant as complete.
What it means: The 35-article warrant contains department budget requests and officers to be elected.
What’s next: Voters will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Oxford Elementary School on Route 121 to act on non-election articles. The election will be held at the polls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Public Safety Building on Route 26.
Building Code
What happened: A public hearing was held on the proposed Building Code Ordinance and proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance.
What it means: A committee will continue to refine the documents.
What’s next: The ordinances will go to voters at the annual town meeting.
Road construction
What happened: Interim Town Manager Becky Lippincott said the Maine Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on a proposed construction project at Routes 26 and 121.
What it means: Three dates for the hearing were provided and Lippincott told selectmen she preferred June 6.
What’s next: A date will be set and notices will be sent.
