Veteran exhibit opens May 27
WAYNE — The Salute to Wayne Veterans exhibit will be open for viewing from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 27, and noon to 2 p.m. Monday, May 29, Memorial Day Monday, at Cary Library’s Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road.
The Cary Library honors all who served, with a display of Wayne’s Veteran’s photos, description of their years and location of service, as well as photos taken at past Memorial Day parades and ceremonies.

Birds and Blooms Walk
BETHEL — Mahoosuc Land Trust’s Birds and Blooms Walk will start at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at the Valentine Farm Conservation Center, 162 North Road.

Star Teachings of TEA
SUMNER — Star Teachings of TEA will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at the Two Spirits Center, 1122 Main St., Route 217.
The gathering will be in circle format, where everyone is invited to share kindness, wisdom, and questions in the space of openness and receiving, without judgment.
Sewing group changes meeting location
OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Sewing and Craft Group meets from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays except the third Wednesday of each month at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church on Rayville Road.
Starting in June, the group will meet at the Otisfield Community Hall on Route 121.
Members are a small group of women who bring their own projects to work on, although occasionally there are group projects.

College planning workshop June 8
WILTON — Maine Educational Opportunity Center’s “Essentials of College Planning” will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Wilton Career Center, 865 Route 2.
This workshop introduces people to educational opportunities in general and MEOC services in particular. It touches on the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career and study skills. The financial aid portion of this workshop will provide an overview of financial basics and the completion of the Free Application of Federal Student Aid.

Adopt-A-Book program
NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library’s annual Adopt-A-Book program will offer the community an opportunity to honor a child, friend or loved one by adding a book to the collection in their name.
Each book purchased will be identified with a book plate. Books awaiting adoption are on display in the library. They include selections of fiction and nonfiction and offer a variety of writing and illustration styles.

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Sudbury Inn.
