I am writing in response to Ed Bulger’s letter to the editor (May 27), to set the record straight.
In his letter, Bulger stated that I told him that I would raise taxes for funds to replace old water infrastructure. That statement is false — I never said that.
Anyone who knows me or who is aware of my voting record knows that I am always an advocate for lowering taxes, not raising them. I am always in support of the best interest of the taxpayer.
I would add that town taxes have nothing to do with replacing water infrastructure. That is a function of the Water District and is paid for by their funding mechanisms.
I hope this clarifies my position.
