Items included are: A Spanish wine tasting, an evening of chocolate sampling, two nights at Maine Huts and Trails, car detailing, pet grooming, restaurant gift certificates and a basket of goodies from The Vault.
Proceeds from the APL Auction support the everyday activities of the library.

MECHANIC FALLS — A “Make Us An Offer” yard sale and a quilt show will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration, 64 Elm St.
The Anglican Church is co-sponsoring the event with the Mechanic Falls Historical Society. These activities are part of Mechanic Falls Community Day Celebration. In addition, the Rev. Gary Drinkwater will be serving hot dogs throughout the course of the day.

MEXICO — River Valley Animal Advocates will have their annual perennial plant sale on Saturday, June 3, at the Dixfield side parking lot, next to Rowe’s Afternoon Delite.
Two quilts will be raffled.
This will be a fundraiser to provide spaying, neutering and shots for local cats.

NEW GLOUCESTER — The 10th annual “Rooting for Democracy” plant sale, hosted by the New Gloucester Democratic Committee, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 3, at Lil’ Mart, 1026 Lewiston Road, Route 100.
Plants of all varieties, including perennials, annuals, houseplants, vegetables and herbs, will be offered at bargain prices. The rain date is Saturday, June 10.
A raffle to win a lobster of the month club membership at the Fishermen’s Net in Gray, a $100 value, is being held in conjunction with the plant sale. Tickets cost $3 each, or $5 for two. The drawing will be held at noon that day; Ticket holders need not be present to win.

WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church of West Paris will hold its annual Rhubarb Festival and white elephant sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 3, at the church on Main Street.
The event features everything rhubarb, including homemade rhubarb pies, cakes and cookies, prepared by church members and friends for this annual fundraiser. There are still a few cookbooks available for sale, which include a section of rhubarb recipes.
The event also features a white elephant sale. Donations for the sale will be accepted.
This year the church is also accepting donations of gently used infant and toddler clothes, which will be donated to the local community; a date for the distribution will be publicized when it is scheduled.
