OXFORD — Three candidates for a seat on the Board of Selectmen will meet in a forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Oxford Recreation Center, 223 King St.
Mark Blaquiere, Dana Dillingham and Ernest “Ed” Knightly are vying for the seat being vacated by Roger Jackson.
Blaquiere, is a captain and per diem firefighter with the Paris Fire Department.
Dillingham is a captain and jail administrator at the Oxford County Sherriff’s Office in Paris and an Oxford Budget Committee and Planning Board member.
Knightly, a political newcomer, served as the town’s recreation director for three years and is self-employed and works part time at the Oxford Transfer Station.
Last year, Blaquiere and Dillingham were among five candidates running for two selectmen seats. Scott Owens won re-election and former Selectman Floyd Thayer won the seat vacated by James Goforth.
Voters will make their choice at elections Tuesday, June 13. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Public Safety Building, 701 Main St.
