BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) — A small city in Maine with a special tie to the Pittsburgh Penguins is celebrating the team’s Stanley Cup win again.

WCSH-TV reports Penguins’ defenseman Brian Dumoulin is from Biddeford. Dumoulin visited Biddeford with the Stanley Cup after winning the 2016 championship with Pittsburgh. Officials showed their appreciation by giving him a key to the city.

Residents boast that Dumoulin is the only person born in Maine to win the NHL championship.

The defenseman had a tough road this season. Dumoulin dealt with a broken jaw after being hit with a slap shot in his face.

Dumoulin will get to spend a day with the Stanley Cup again this year. He hasn’t announced if he’ll make another trip back to his hometown with the hardware.
