Third-grade teacher Diane Whalen started the Flag Day celebration tradition over 25 years ago.

Many students wore red, white and blue outfits to school for the Flag Day celebration at Carrie Ricker School in Litchfield. Children from Carrie Ricker, Libby Tozier and Sabattus Primary schools participated in the ceremony.
