HARRISONBURG, Va. — Eunice Tozier, beloved wife, mother and nana, 85, formerly of Mexico, passed away June 8 in Harrisonburg, Va.
Born Aug. 8, 1931, Eunice was the youngest child of Lila and Charles Conrad. She met the love of her life, Glendon Tozier, a tree surgeon at the time, while waitressing at the Mexico Diner. They married in 1948 and had a wonderful family, Trudy, Glenna and Mark, raising them in a house they built together in Mexico. Eunice worked for Diamond International Co.
How do you capture in words what an amazing wife, mother and nana she was? You can’t — to know Eunice was to love her. She enjoyed traveling, whether a lazy ride in the car with Glenn or going to Europe or Brazil with him. For a time, they wintered in Frostproof, Florida. Eunice loved reading, going for walks, the ocean, looking for a bargain, but most of all, she loved her family and will be tremendously missed.
She is survived by son-in-law, James Ames of Florida; daughter, Glenna and Normand Violette of New Market, Va.; and son, Mark and Faye Tozier of Mexico. She is also survived by her five granddaughters, Missy and Bruce Record of Monmouth, Aimee and Lew Pratt of Lewiston, Darcie Bolstridge of Monmouth, Shannon Scott of Rumford, and Erica and Josh Atkinson of Dresden; great-grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Kerianne, Cameron, Alex, Benjamin, Logan, Kennedy, Bryan and Gabriella; and great-great-grandson, James.
She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn; and daughter, Trudy.
