FARMINGTON — A Connecticut man accused of supplying heroin that was sold in the Franklin County area is being held on $25,000 cash bail at the Franklin County Detention Center, officials said.

Sean Michael “Cali” Blalock, 32, of Wolcott, Connecticut, was arrested in mid-May in Connecticut on a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency warrant and brought to Maine on Wednesday.

He is charged with two felony counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking of heroin and attempted aggravated trafficking of heroin. A Franklin County grand jury indicted Blalock in 2016 on the charges.

A conviction on each charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

According to the affidavit for the arrest warrant, Blalock reached out to Logan White, 28, of Rumford, formerly of Industry, in the fall of 2015 offering to supply White with heroin to use and to sell in Maine.

The two knew each other in Connecticut.

MDEA stopped a vehicle driven by White’s then-girlfriend, Lauren Leonard, 23, who had addresses listed in Peru and Industry, in April 2016 in Auburn. She was returning from Connecticut with 188 doses of heroin, according to an MDEA affidavit. Her criminal case is pending.

White pleaded guilty June 8 to illegal importation of scheduled drugs and unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in Franklin County Superior Court. He is serving seven years, which factors in 29 months of an eight-year sentence for selling heroin and serving the remaining 58 months of a 2013 sentence on unrelated drug charges.

White and Leonard made a deal with Blalock that he would supply them with heroin at wholesale prices, and oftentimes front some of it to help get their drug trafficking business up and running, according to the affidavit.

White told the MDEA agent that the two were financially broke and were addicted to heroin and they saw the deal as an opportunity to make money.

White also told the agent that he tried to get Blalock to deliver the heroin to Maine, but Blalock refused because Maine Gov. Paul LePage warned on various media outlets that Maine will aggressively prosecute out-of-staters sending heroin into Maine.

White admitted that he and Leonard made about 12 trips to Connecticut to get heroin from Blalock to bring it to Maine. He said the amounts varied from 100 doses to 500 doses each trip, according to the affidavit.

White told the agent he and Leonard paid Blalock $15,000 from November 2015 to April 26, 2016, for 2,450 doses of heroin. The couple still owed Blalock $2,100 for heroin when they were arrested, according to the affidavit.
