FARMINGTON — Three candidates will be interviewed for the principal position at Mt. Blue High School and coordinator of Mt. Blue Campus, Superintendent Tom Ward said.
Regional School Unit 9 received five applications for the job.
Principal Bruce Mochamer of Farmington submitted a letter of resignation in May. He plans to stay on until a new principal is hired.
Ward met with members of the school board’s Administrative Evaluation Committee to review the applications following Tuesday’s board meeting.
Ward had reviewed the applications prior to the meeting to make sure the candidates were qualified for the position.
There are five members on the committee and it is expected about eight more people will be added to a search committee made up of administrators, teachers and parents.
Mochamer, who has 32 years combined experience as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, said previously that he does not have a job lined up, but it might be in education or something totally different.
