Strong summer reading program
STRONG — The Strong Public Library’s summer reading program theme will be “Build A Better World,” and will run through Aug. 3.
Children 17 and younger are welcome to join. There’s something for every child, with story times, activities, and prizes.
Library hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Ludden summer reading program
DIXFIELD — The Ludden Memorial Library’s summer reading program theme will be “Build a Better World,” and will run from June 27 to July 25.
Activities will include ventriloquism and magic, arts and crafts, and “Mr. I. the Science Guy.”
The 2017 summer reading program is open to young people, preschool through young adult, with programs, prize drawings and, of course, reading. Families are welcome to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program.

Farmers market at Old Squire’s Green
NORWAY — A farmers market with live vendors and a market place will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at Old Squire’s Green, 493 Main St.
Vendors with local produce and products that are raised, grown and produced locally include beef, pork, goat, lamb, bison, vegetables, breads, dairy, sweets, maple syrup, beans, crafts, ravioli, photography, and personal and home care products.

Maine Connections Academy open house
WILTON — Maine Connections Academy, Maine’s first tuition-free, virtual public charter school for grades seven to 12, is accepting applications for the 2017-18 school year, and will be holding a series of information sessions throughout the state for prospective students and families.
An upcoming session will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Comfort Inn and Suites, 1026 Route 2 East.

MEOC college planning workshop
WILTON — There will be a MEOC-101-Essentials of College Planning workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at the Wilton Career Center, 865 U.S. Route 2.
This interactive workshop introduces people to educational opportunities in general and MEOC services in particular, and touches on the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career and study skills.
