NEW SHARON — A Farmington man was injured Thursday night after his Jeep struck a utility pole and rolled over on Swan Road, located off Route 27.
Terrence Lake, 47, of Farmington told Deputy Derrick Doucette that he swerved to avoid a deer when his 2003 Jeep struck the pole, Chief Deputy Steven Lowell of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, said Friday.
Lake complained of pain in his leg and was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Lowell said.
Utility wires on the pole were down and Central Maine Power was called in.
New Sharon Fire Department responded to assist at the accident reported at 8:14 p.m.
