LISBON — Eight members of the Coombs-Mountford Post 158, American Legion, placed about 330 flags on veterans’ graves at seven cemeteries and Tommy Field’s Commemorative Plaque for Memorial Day.
The cemeteries and the number of veterans’ graves were: Lisbon Ridge, 15; Lisbon Center, 44; Lisbon, about 100; Blake, at least one from the Revolutionary War; Cotton Road, eight; Davis, 26; and St. Anne’s Cemetery, 120.
Commander Glenn Simard welcomed everyone to have refreshments at the Legion Hall after the flag placements.
