AUBURN — Skelton Taintor & Abbott has hired attorney Braden Clement, who will focus his practice in personal injury law, medical malpractice and civil litigation.
Clement was selected for inclusion in New England Rising Stars in the category of General Litigation in 2016, and received Katahdin Counsel Recognition for his pro bono efforts in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Prior to joining Skelton Taintor & Abbott, he was an associate with another Maine law firm.
As a student attorney at the University of Maine School of Law, Clement participated in the inaugural year of the Refugee and Human Rights Clinic where he vigorously advocated for individuals seeking immigration status in the United States, including special immigrant juvenile status, affirmative asylum, and relief under the Violence Against Women Act.
Active in the community, he serves on the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project pro bono panel. He is also a member of the Mitchell Institute Alumni Council, a nonprofit organization established by U.S. Sen. George J. Mitchell that works to help young people from all Maine communities attain a college education.
